Here's your local news at a glance for Friday, the 9th of January.
Good morning, Nampa.
Unusually warm temperatures have left local ski shops with historic low snowpack and reduced rentals near Bogus Basin this winter, but owners hope a later surge in winter conditions will bring more business.
Despite low snow levels, Gateway Parks at Eagle Island State Park reopened its tubing hill in early December with two lanes (instead of the usual four) due to warm weather and now offers free ski and snowboard lessons for kids.
At Bogus Basin, skiers and snowboarders enjoy powder while tubers slide an 800-foot hill for a safe and fun outing.
