Two community groups in Nampa will host the Living HERstory event on Sunday to commemorate International Women's Day.
The event will highlight the challenges women face and the barriers they have overcome.
Andy Dorantes, a former Boise State guide, skied 702 miles to the Geographic South Pole over 55 days and became the only person in Latin America to complete the feat — a journey that pushed both her physical limits and mental endurance.
She plans to return to Antarctica for another challenge.
