  • The America250 Idaho Service Challenge has seen over 110,000 acts of service statewide with 98 cities participating, including 509 youth entries from 47 cities, and 31 cities have already surpassed 250 acts + community groups are also contributing through food drives and scouting activities.  KBOI
  • A golden egg was stolen from the base of Shaw Mountain at FROADN Fabrication's annual Golden Egg Chase Contest. Officials said an AirTag tracked its last location to Garden City and a police report was filed.  KBOI

ECONOMY NEWS

  • AAA reports that gas prices in Idaho rose 7 cents overnight to about $4.17 per gallon, marking a $1.20 monthly increase amid rising fuel costs tied to conflict in the Middle East.  KBOI

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Governor Brad Little will sign Isaiah's Law + the Foster Child Safety Act today to improve protections for vulnerable children after local advocates rallied following baby Benji's death, while Benji's Law remains pending a Senate hearing.  KIVI
  • Governor Brad Little will sign a bill for first responders at the Fallen Firefighters Memorial Park at 10 a.m.; westbound I-84 will close from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. between Ten Mile and Garrity, and Albertsons Boise Open tickets go on sale today at 9 a.m. for summer concerts.  KIVI

HEALTH NEWS

  • Aaron Hudson, a Kuna baker, saw his tumor shrink from 24 cm to 15 cm after weeks of chemotherapy thanks to local donations. He is now walking and eating but will need further treatment and weekly lab tests to monitor his recovery.  KBOI

SPORTS NEWS

  • Former Boise State players, along with two from Idaho State, participated in a Pro Day that featured strength tests & vertical jump drills designed to impress NFL scouts. Players will take their next steps at the NFL Draft airing on April 23 on Idaho News 6.  KIVI
