COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Gas prices are rising today, yet local RV enthusiasts and car fans in Nampa remain undeterred as families plan trips; Corey Kerensky of Happy Camper RV and Adam LaBarbera from Race Club Boise said the extra cost is a small price — one that brings quality family time.  KIVI
  • Nampa Mayor’s Teen Council planted eight pear trees at West Park as part of the Memorial Tree and Bench Program to honor Mayor Rick Hogaboam, who died during a town hall earlier this month. A memorial service is held today at 5 p.m. at the Ford Idaho Center.  KIVI

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Idaho House approved a $5.6B health and human services budget, cutting spending by about 6%, and sent it to governor Brad Little’s desk on Monday; it also passed a $16.4M mental health bill & rejected a $35.7M public health enhancement measure.  KTVB

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Developers have begun demolishing the former Edwards Cinema to clear space for Sugar District — a mixed-use project that may include multi-family housing. The lot has been vacant since the cinema closed and city approval came last year.  KIVI

SPORTS NEWS

  • KTVB is teaming up with the Mariners to broadcast 10 free over‐the‐air games this season—reaching households in Idaho and across the Pacific Northwest. The first game airs Friday, April 10 at 7:40 p.m. as the team opens its home slate against the Houston Astros.  KTVB
