- ➤ The Idaho Hispanic Foundation is hosting its annual luncheon on April 22 to bring together community leaders, advocates and changemakers and address challenges in health, business development, workforce and education. The group also offers free services—such as educational workshops, business networking events, cultural celebrations, ESL classes, a food pantry and mobile health clinics—to support the Hispanic community. - ➤ The governor approved a bill that bans the use of SNAP benefits to buy candy and soda. The policy will change how SNAP funds are spent across the state. Idaho Press
- ➤ During the second week of April, the Ada County Dispatch Center in Meridian celebrated National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week — a themed event honoring 911 dispatchers who handled nearly 500,000 calls a year.
