- ➤ Foster and Heart — a nonprofit supporting foster children — is asking for donations of new spring clothing to help children transition to their new homes. The Essentials Drive will run on May 1 at Walmart on Ten Mile from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with community members invited to contribute. KBOI
- ➤ Today, Two Men And A Truck launches its annual Movers For Moms donation drive to support mothers facing homelessness or domestic abuse in the Treasure Valley—local businesses will host donation boxes and Fred Meyer will run special collection events until May 5. KBOI

- ➤ Outfitters in Idaho expect a thrilling whitewater season as the strong spring snowpack boosts river flows—low bookings due to economic uncertainty mean residents may soon find available trips. Hardy Bender from the Idaho Rafters & Guides Association said that heavier flows and large waves will create ideal conditions for rafters this season. KTVB
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Three Nampa residents—Miguel Vittorio, Yessenia Casillas and Luis Vasquez—pleaded guilty to bank fraud for submitting false information on PPP loan applications during the COVID-19 relief effort. Vasquez was sentenced on April 16 while Casillas will be sentenced on April 29 and Vittorio will be sentenced on June 16. KBOI
