- ➤ A 19-year-old student-athlete from Nampa and a coach died in a head-on collision on Highway 42 when a Chevrolet Silverado crossed the centerline and struck a bus carrying Umpqua Community College softball team members late Friday night—police are investigating suspected impaired driving and a five-hour highway closure followed.
