- ➤ Annette Tipton was named as the new executive director of the Commission of Hispanic Affairs by Governor Brad Little in May after nearly three decades under her predecessor, Margie Gonzalez. Tipton, a native of Nampa who worked in banking and community organizations, has begun meeting staff to learn the commission’s operations—she plans to boost outreach for the state’s Hispanic community. - ➤ Boise State’s men’s basketball team added Rayzhon Bergersen on Tuesday as he signed to continue his college career; the Boise native played 38 games at Northwest Nazarene with averages of 4.0 points, 1.2 assists and 2.0 rebounds. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining—his father Roberto Bergersen, a former star at Boise State, now serves as an assistant coach for the Broncos. KTVB
