During Mental Health Awareness Month, local resident Brittany Brown launched a project using a rotary phone to collect anonymous messages of hope and mental health experiences from community members — the phone travels through the Treasure Valley.

The initiative, part of The Continuation Project created by Jacob Stockton, will continue throughout the year as more local businesses and individuals join the effort.

On Saturday, a free water safety event was held at Lakeview Water Park where local agencies taught families CPR, mini swim lessons, and irrigation canal safety tips—Nampa Parks and Rec teamed up with St. Luke’s Health and Nampa Fire to help keep water fun and safe.
