- ➤ Jason Monteleone of Monteleone Law Offices advises Idaho drivers to stay alert on summer roads between Memorial Day and Labor Day as construction, relaxed vacation driving, and distractions have led to a rise in serious motor vehicle accidents; he noted that Saturday afternoons and weekday rush hours are especially dangerous — and he urged parents to talk with teen drivers about safe practices. - ➤ Sen. Mike Lee introduced a bill on Wednesday to allow the sale of over 2 million acres of federal land, including parts in Idaho, to states and other entities while excluding national parks, monuments, and designated wilderness areas. Idaho conservation groups warned that the measure may limit public access and urged Idahoans to contact their representatives — as the bill's future remains uncertain amid ongoing budget talks. KTVB
- ➤ Cassidy Landry, who lived in her car for nine months in Boise while looking for help, is fighting a new Idaho law—set to ban public camping in cities like Nampa starting July 1—with a petition that has already gathered hundreds of signatures. KTVB
