- ➤ Today in Boise, a wildfire risk seminar was held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the National Interagency Fire Center. - ➤ Mayor Debbie Kling announced she is not seeking a third term after eight years because she feels it is time for new leadership in Nampa—she noted her successes in reducing crime, boosting jobs, and lowering poverty while adding that she will continue to serve in another role. Current Canyon County Clerk and former city councilman Rick Hogaboam has launched his campaign to replace her when her term ends in November. KIVI
- ➤ La Lotería de Idaho said on June 16 that the $1 million winter raffle ticket (number 063647 sold in Star) remains unclaimed; winners must claim their prizes by 5 p.m. MST on June 30 so the funds go to public schools and the administration building fund.
