  • Today, Alive After 5 returns to the Grove Plaza with Boot Juice and Surf Green Machine starting at 5 p.m.—and day 2 of Jaialdi offers food, drinks, and live music on the Basque Block—while Truck-A-Palooza at the Star Elementary School parking lot took place this morning at 10 a.m., giving kids a chance to explore big vehicles.  KIVI
  • A church in Caldwell filled over 900 backpacks with school supplies for children in need — including 150 bags for kids of parents deployed from Gowen Field — and teamed up with Astegos to serve more students. The remaining bags will be distributed to children across Treasure Valley.  KBOI

  • Nampa police and a local family are asking the public for help finding a woman who was last seen Monday in Nampa—officials urge anyone with information to contact authorities immediately.  Idaho Press

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The Idaho State Department of Agriculture is ramping up monitoring of the Snake River for quagga mussels and has collected over 200 samples from the infested area, all testing negative so far. The agency requires watercraft entering the zone between Broken Bridge and Hansen Bridge to be inspected and decontaminated during posted hours—statewide, more than 2,500 samples have been collected this year.  KBOI
