ECONOMY NEWS

  • The $1.7 billion Powerball drawing on Saturday will offer a cash payout of about $770.3 million that will be reduced by taxes such as a 24% federal withholding and further income taxes, — in Idaho a winner is set to receive roughly $441,463,395.  KTVB

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • At a recent meeting, the Nampa City Council approved an independent appraisal of the Ford Idaho Center — a large venue with about $25 million in deferred maintenance — after two months of public input.
