- ➤ West Karcher Road is closed between Midland Boulevard and the Karcher Bypass due to a spill of 300 gallons of hydraulic fluid, and city crews—using sand to absorb the spill—are cleaning the area as drivers are advised to use alternate routes. KTVB

- ➤ Idaho State Police will promote Lt. Jason Horst to captain today during a ceremony that marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11—he served in the Air Force during the attacks and will now oversee investigations, hiring and statewide projects. KTVB
