  • Goodnight Moon Aquamation now offers 24/7 pet aquamation services in Treasure Valley, providing round-the-clock communication and home pickup for grieving pet owners. Co-owners Tim Centerfitt and Amanda Todd said they handle remains with care—using a process that minimizes environmental impact.  KBOI

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Parma saw a transformation when a neglected patch of weeds became a vibrant pollinator garden — created by nearly 40 University of Idaho staff, master gardeners and volunteers using a $10,000 grant from Dr. Barbara Petty. The garden supports local agriculture by providing essential habitat for bees and other insects that help pollinate more than one-third of our food.  KTVB

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Idaho Transportation Department will close sections of westbound I-84 overnight today and Thursday from midnight to 5 a.m. for crews to install permanent overhead signs—motorists must detour via Franklin Road and Blaine Street on Wednesday and via Illinois Avenue and Centennial Way on Thursday.  KBOI

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Canyon County Mosquito Abatement District detected a single invasive Aedes aegypti mosquito on Aug. 11 with DNA tests confirming its identity on Sept. 17, and they have set traps—continuing monitoring through 2026 to reduce disease risk.  KBOI

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Ten Mile Farms in Meridian will welcome families with fall activities including three corn mazes—one with a mission to find the missing Farmer Joe—hay rides, a corn pit, pumpkin picking and slides, along with food trucks to offer treats, as owners Michael and Jocelyn Siergersma invite the Treasure Valley community to enjoy a taste of local agriculture and fun.  KBOI

SPORTS NEWS

  • Boise State will play Appalachian State on Saturday, Sept. 27 at Albertsons Stadium—coming off a win over Air Force with running back Dylan Riley scoring key points. Appalachian State’s strong passing attack is expected to test Boise State’s passing defense in only the second meeting of the season.  KTVB
  • Olympic boxer Alyssa Mendoza returned to Caldwell after competing in the 2025 World Boxing Championship in Liverpool—she was honored in her hometown.  KTVB
