- ➤ A 55-year-old hunter was rescued by the Idaho Air National Guard after suffering a medical emergency in a remote backcountry on October 1—adverse weather delayed Life Flight’s attempts on October 2. Idaho Army National Guard and Boise Fire Department personnel conducted the first swift water rescue training at Gowen Field, practicing a moving platform extraction to ensure readiness for real emergencies. - ➤ Nampa City Council will take public input on the Ford Idaho Center’s future during a Monday meeting — the feedback will help guide the council's upcoming decisions. Idaho Press
- ➤ On Thursday, the Idaho Public Utilities Commission lowered solar reimbursement rates and paused annual adjustments for solar generators—changes that will affect the payments for utility customers. The new ruling is expected to reduce incentives for solar energy production in the future. Idaho Press
