GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Nampa City Council is nearly making a decision about the Ford Idaho Center’s future. They can transfer the center to the college—where it would support local events, sell it at auction with a $75 million start bid, or keep it and raise taxes to cover deferred maintenance.  KBOI
  • Nampa City Council holds a public hearing today at 6 p.m. to review options for the Ford Idaho Center — including a minimum bid of $75 million for a potential sale. A stretch of Bannock St is closed from Capitol Blvd to 6th St for underground electrical work until Friday, Oct 17, and the city's irrigation season ends today.  KIVI
