- ➤ Today, Nordstrom Rack held its grand opening at The Village at Meridian with an 8 a.m. event featuring music, surprises, and a raffle before officially opening at 9 a.m., and Zoo Boise held a ribbon cutting for its newly renovated Small Animal Kingdom that offers improved indoor and outdoor views — residents also had until 5 p.m. today to complete the Ridge to Rivers Survey for trail feedback. BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Idaho Lottery tickets for the $1,000,000 raffle are now on sale at local retailers—500,000 tickets are available and they are expected to sell quickly. KTVB
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine, the state’s first standalone medical school, celebrated 10 years this year as its four graduating classes have begun returning to provide care in the community where they trained. KTVB
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Nampa School District is asking voters to pass a $16.8 million supplemental levy that will lower property taxes by dropping the rate from $63 to $40 per $100,000 of taxable value—$10.8 million of the cost is covered by the state, replacing the current levy which expires in June. KIVI
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Boise State announced its home basketball schedule for the 2025-26 season — six games will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network or FOX Sports 1 while the season opener at ExtraMile Arena will take place on Nov. 3. The schedule lists tip-off times and opponents for each game throughout the season. KTVB
- ➤ Tatum Thompson—averaging 13.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game last season—was named Mountain West Preseason Player of the Year at Boise State. KTVB
