- ➤ John Carter, owner of Security Services LLC in Caldwell, was detained during a Wilder horse race on Oct. 19 when officers used flash bangs and confiscated firearms, and his team — including his two children assisting him — faced property damage as the FBI detained 105 people and arrested five in connection with an alleged illegal gambling operation. - ➤ Flu season has begun and health officials say getting a flu shot can help lower the risk of severe illness—especially for people without strong health coverage—while free clinics will offer shots on October 29 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Centro Cultural Hispano in Nampa and on November 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. KTVB
