EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Centennial Job Corps in Nampa is now enrolling new students after a pause that lowered enrollment from nearly 100 to 52 due to federal uncertainty. Director Traci Jones said the center added about 15 students in the last two months and expects to reach half capacity soon — a plan to train local workers. KTVB
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Many local trees are holding onto their leaves a bit longer this fall due to a warmer-than-usual November, as botany teacher Kai Battenberg from the University of Idaho explained that trees reabsorb nutrients from green leaves before shedding them.
