- ➤ Community members in Treasure Valley raised nearly $100,000 to support a Meridian family facing tragedy; the local fundraiser shows neighborly care during a difficult time. Idaho Press
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game will release about 900 10 to 12 inch rainbow trout into Valle Mágico waters this month. They will stock Filer Kids Pond (Dec. 8 to 12) and Filer Pond (Dec. 22 to 26) to help local anglers. KTVB
- ➤ Flood Control District #10 is set to begin its annual winter maintenance work this month between Plantation Island and Caldwell to remove hazard trees, debris, and snags that could cause flooding during spring runoff. The district may also use pile burning and stream bank-stabilization projects to protect nearby property. KIVI
